Pretext - made-up excuse: a misleading or untrue reason given for doing something in an attempt to conceal the real reason.

When dealing with criminals, paramours, cheating spouses and others who have crossed your investigative path sometimes traditional methods cannot break the case. I have developed a Pretext Service that can save time, money and countless hours of surveillance.

A client who was working on a disability case needed to locate where a subject was working. Instead of twenty to thirty hours of surveillance time I conducted a social network trace and discovered an ad the subject placed searching for his long lost girlfriend. I set up a bogus email address and contact the subject as the long lost love. Five emails later he invited me for a ride on his chartered party boat. From a simple email the case was solved.
